Formal Informal Social Support Systems Health And Social Care Essay

Formal Informal Social Support Systems Health And Social Care Essay Understanding that it is the normal right that every one of the individuals who work ought to appreciate to the furthest reaches the their rewards for so much hard work the Colonial Government of the Gold Coast started a bundle for open assistance laborers who went on retirement in the wake of serving in the open help for more than 30 years, passed a mandate as a component of the changes in the settlement. That mandate came to be known as CAP 30. The accompanying class of laborers were qualified for appreciate this bundle, Ghana Armed Forces, Police Service, Fire Service, Ghana Education Service, Ghana Health Service, Civil Service and so on. In any case, by 1972 the law was revised to permit another body, SSNIT to assume liability of some class of laborers commitment towards their retirement. After 1972, representatives of the Ghana Education Service, Ghana Health Service, and Judiciary Service among others were legitimately under the SSNIT Pension Scheme except for the Security Ser vices. The Social Security Pension Scheme was built up under the PNDC Law 247 of 1991. The Scheme is directed by the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) to provide food for Civil and Public Servants, Employees in the private segment, Professionals, Traders, Artisans, Farmers and furthermore the independently employed. The Social Security Scheme is the main fundamental Social Security Scheme that protects a laborer against the accompanying possibilities: Old Age, Invalidity and Death. The specialist contributes 5% of his/her fundamental pay and the business includes 12.5% of the laborers essential compensation, making an aggregate of 17.5% which is paid to SSNIT. The pace of Contribution for Self-Employed or Voluntary Contributor is 17.5% of proclaimed salary. It would premium you to realize that Government Pension or top 30 draws in an enormous entirety of cash than the SSNIT annuity which is generally lower. This divergence in the annuity organization has realized laborers tumult for decency in their retirement benefits. In the open area an individual meets all requirements for full annuity at the time of 60years and you more likely than not caused a base commitment of 240 months in total yet to can deliberately go on retirement at age 55years for diminished benefits and more likely than not made a base commitment of 240 months. Because of sick wellbeing one meets all requirements for deficiency benefits. All things considered you more likely than not made commi tments for at least 12months in total inside the most recent three years and you more likely than not been pronounced forever invalid and unequipped for any ordinary profitable work by a certified and perceived clinical official and affirmed by a Regional Medical Board on which a SSNIT Medical Officer is spoken to. Since 1957 when the nation picked up autonomy ostracize officials in the Ghana Civil Service selected to resign and numerous opening happened. This made the open door for Ghanaians who were on benefits to be reconnected in the Civil Service on contract. These officials making the most of their annuity notwithstanding their compensation as agreement officials. Be that as it may, in 1968, the Government of Ghana requested the discontinuance of the installment of the benefits bundle notwithstanding the pay rates connected to the agreement arrangement. This measure clearly didn't go down well with the influenced retired people who thought of it as a wound at the back and a break of confidence. ( Tachie-Menson, 2003). In Accra, a gathering of beneficiaries connected with the administrations of legal counselors to battle their motivation for them. They succeeded and in this way the rise of the Ghana Government Pensioners Association for Accra which additionally accepted a national status. The manner in which was then opened for branches in all the territorial capitals to enroll individuals and make installment of some portion of their month to month contribution to Accra. In Wa the benefits Association was framed in 1986 to provide food for resigned laborers in the region. Retired people under the Government Pensions Association are more than 600 as the number continue diminishing because of death. Beneficiary with the SSNIT, as at February, 2010 remained at one hundred thousand 400 and fifty eight with a retirement pace of 0.65%. It was my uncertainty that some resigned open assistance laborers would live awkward lives after long stretches of contributing definitively to mother Ghana as those sorts of presumptions, recommendations, and my own understanding of my matured guardians that provoked me to embrace this proposition around there. Articulation OF THE PROBLEM There is a general recognition out there that retirement from dynamic help in Ghana renders one jobless and with nothing to do which frequently prompts dissatisfaction and early demise throughout everyday life in the event that one doesn't design life appropriately. This is credited to the way that individuals on retirement who don't design well utilize their advantages to discover cover for themselves after which they wind up living on their pitiful month to month recompense. It is asserted in light of the fact that most laborers can't set up cover during their working lives before they go on retirement. This has been the circumstance in the course of the most recent decade and more and has rather ruined retirees. Such cases are not hard to track down in the region on the off chance that one visits these resigned laborers at their homes. In this way resigned laborers whose relatives are not there to help them are left to their destiny or are compelled to endure neighbors. It is addi tionally stressing to discover slight looking beneficiaries go to their banks each fortnight to battle for their recompenses. In certain circumstances those crippled to the degree that they can't make the excursion to the bank would not approach their cash except if they set up a position note to be supported by the Association and countersigned by the Accountant Generals delegate for the bank to impact installment, a procedure very arduous. Estimation of retirement advantages of Government Pension which was initially founded on the annuity consistent of 1/960th of ones terminal compensation duplicated by the quantity of years served in months was looked into in 1946 by the Harragin Salary Commission to 1/600th and has since been expanded to 1/480th. The sum showed up at is spilt for 25% to be paid as tip and the staying 75% as annuity which is spread more than 20 years and is payable month to month. On the passing of a retired person what is expected him/her from the rest of the period out of the twenty years is paid to his/her recipients as drove annuity. (Tachie-Menson, 2003) For recipients of an expired retired person to guarantee the startling bit of the twenty years benefits there are three methodologies towards that end:- (a)The selection structure documented with his Department while a government worker in which he demonstrated his recipients is the first to be utilized as authority for payment. Notwithstanding, the selection structures can be updated whenever that the individual wishes. (b)The will is the following position to be utilized for payment, on the off chance that it super surrenders the assignment structure. (c)In the nonattendance of the two above, Letters of Administration arranged mutually by the leader of the retired people family on one side and the spouse and kids on the other, must be acquired from the Law Courts with which to guarantee the drove benefits. As the years move by for swelling to set in modifications are made to pay rates by the award of remittances in different structures to the essential compensations of Civil Servants. Be that as it may, when stipends are added to the fundamental pay rates to relieve the impact of the increasing average cost for basic items, it doesn't reflect in the annuity computation. This prompts the Ghana Government Pensioners Association to go into genuine exchanges with the Government for benefits to be increment. At the point when the solidified pay was presented retired people were abandoned. The Associations arranging hardware was scrutinized with the haggling intensity of the Public Services Workers Union of which the Association is a Division; Government at that point agreed to the award of half. Subsequently to address the issue of social help for the resigned open area laborers in the region, realize that the gigantic worry of this paper is centered around the poor reception of measures with respect to neighborhood specialists and network individuals to give extra government assistance assets and other social intercessions to help the resigned. Importance OF THE STUDY: This exploration would give an inside and out information on the formal and casual social emotionally supportive networks of resigned laborers and to know the predicament of resigned laborers in order to come out with solutions for help these matured residents. It would likewise add to get ready would-be retirees to enough arrangement for their future retirement. Capital Punishment Essay - Christians and the Death Penalty

Christians and the Death Penalty nbsp; Almost all societies have dispensed with the principle of an eye for an eye, and considered it a step toward more enlightened civilization. Christians who cite an eye for an eye in their defense of the death penalty are usually unaware of the strict criteria that God imposed before it could be used to take human life. The Old Testament also allowed the death penalty for crimes that today we consider less than misdemeanors -- clearly, the Old Testament law is archaic. Finally, Jesus himself argued against the principle of an eye for an eye. nbsp; Most societies dispensed with the eye for an eye principle of punishment centuries ago; indeed, it is considered one of the great†¦show more content†¦But the classification of enemies is an intellectual exercise, one that changes with changing group identification. For those who say revenge serves the purpose of satisfying the emotions of the victims families, there are several responses: 1) Life in prison is a severe punishment in its own right, and should fulfill this need; 2) Revenge does not bring the loved one back; 3) Revenge may make things worse for innocent people -- not just the mistakenly convicted, but the future innocents who fall victim to the higher murder rates that follow executions -- which is surely not the familys intent; 4) Our laws should be based on logic, not emotion, as overwhelming as the emotion might be. Laws based on emotion lead to barbarism. Victims families are superior to the criminal precisely because they are not barbarians. nbsp; nbsp; Some Christians point out that the principle of lex talion (An eye for eye) was commanded by God in the Old Testament. During this Report we will be looking at the different types of resources available for new learners in Health and social care. I will be reviewing four different types of resources I have researched. I will also explain why they are presented differently from one another and the different types of ways these resources can be presented by the media. Internet – The internet is easily accessible and used worldwide. It is a global network and you can find a wide range of information on any topic via the internet. You can gain access on to the internet by using a variety of different appliances;†¦show more content†¦The book I used as a resource (Understanding Health and Social Care, Second edition, Julia Johnson, Sage publications, 2010) contained references, so that I knew where the piece of information was coming from and that it was from a reliable source. There was a lot of technical words and some jargon in this book and I did have to make a note of the words I didn’t fully understand in order to go back and look them up to fully understand. Books can be presented by the media through the radio, billboards, televis ion, social media sites and the internet. Understanding Health and social care is targeted at students and people working within the Health and social care sector. Comparing Henry David Thoreau and Herman Melvilles Writings

Comparing Henry David Thoreau and Herman Melvilles Writings Henry David Thoreau and Herman Melville focused their writings on how man was affected by nature. They translated their philosophies though both the portrayal of their protagonist and their own self exploration. In Moby Dick, Melville writes about Ahabs physical and metaphysical struggle over the great white whale, Moby Dick, symbolic of mans struggle against the overwhelming forces of nature. Ahabs quest is reported and experienced through the eyes of Ishmael. Melvilles use of the third persons biographical standpoint exposes conflicting viewpoints that were both in agreement and disagreement with Ahabs quest, creatively allowing Melville to transcend the story†¦show more content†¦This conflict becomes the warped and demonic idea of a man willing to take on the power s of Moby Dick which is the epitome of the greatest force in nature. Regardless of the onslaught, predestined for Ahab, he will be doomed to failure because of his monomaniacal spirited quest; As he shouted with a terrific, land, animal sob, like that of a heart stricken moose; Aye, aye! It was that accused white whale that raged me; made a pon pegging lumber of me forever and a day!Â… Aye, aye! And Ill chase him normal Good Hope, and round the Horn, and round the Norway Maelstrom, and round perditions flames before I give him up. Henry David Thoreau when writing about his experiences at Walden Pond indicated that mankind cannot be persuaded by the materialism of the world and must aspire to the highest goals of truth, virtue and independence for his existence. Thoreau would find this transcendental experience through the finest qualities existing in nature. He states that, most men, even in this comparatively free country through mere ignorance and mistake, are so occupied with the factitious cares and superfluously coarse labor of life that its finer fruits cannot be plucked by them (p. 790). Thoreau points out the weakening of mans original calling by the results of the industrial revolution, division of labor, the robotics of factory life and materialistic vision of life. The end result is self-destruction and depression of ones

Indigenous Education and Perspective Aboriginal Community

Question: Describe about the Indigenous Education and Perspective for Aboriginal Community. Answer: Activities Creating Aboriginal Perspective activity The Aboriginal community forms an important part of the multicultural population of Australia. Accoridng to Lowe Yunkaporta (2013), both the aboriginals and the non-aboriginals inhabit there and they with their diversities intact in them. However, the Aboriginals do not belong to the mainstream culture of the community. Yet all the Australians share their history and culture with them. It is, however, important to acknowledge this shared history and for this purpose, the Australian government endeavors to create the Aboriginal perspectives. Lowe Yunkaporta (2013) stated that it suggests the points of view of the Aboriginals on specific matters and events. Lowe Yunkaporta (2013) added that in the field of education too, the Australian government always tries to maintain the Aboriginals perspectives for the purpose of education. It is done through consultation with the Aboriginal people of the local school community. As Lowe Yunkaporta (2013) discussed, at first, the Aboriginal his tory and cultural elements are incorporated into the subject matter of the syllabus at each stage. Thus, the aboriginal history and culture get validity into the mainstream culture of the country, as they become part of the broader community of Australia. Lowe Yunkaporta (2013) added that this incorporation process involves the Aboriginal students to relate and recognize their identity, culture and history at a very early age. As a result of it, the Aboriginals and the non-aboriginals are reconciliated. According to Chaffey et al (2015), a research conducted on the twelve schools in New South Wales of Australia has found out that there were confusion between Aboriginal Perspectives and aboriginal Knowledge. Chaffey et al (2015) added that it is because both are incorporated to give information about Aboriginal people, their culture and history. The process should work in a way that Aboriginal knowledge is produced inside the classroom. Chaffey et al (2015) discussed that it can be performed by telling the local stories and histories related to the Aboriginal culture. However, the efforts have been made by the schools to emphasize Aboriginal Perspectives. According to Priest et al (2012) the primary concern of them is to make the teachers culturally competent. It happens in many instances that the teachers are not conversant with the Aboriginal cultures and history and they face difficulty to channelize the Aboriginal perspectives to the children. Priest et al (2012) added that in mo st of the schools with ample number of Aboriginal students celebrate National Aboriginal and Islander Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) week, which are integral parts of Aboriginal culture. As discussed by Priest et al (2012), it is found that two schools in New South Wales put the traditional Aboriginal games into the curricula and some other schools use the Aboriginal tools such as boomerang throwing and woomeras. They added that most of the schools select a particular day to perform the Aboriginal activities to teach all the children about the Aboriginal cultures. For the best outcome, the schools have started to train the teachers and other staffs so that they understand the Aboriginal perspectives before teaching the students. Tudball Anderson (2016) found out that one of the major attempts is the development of Personalized Learning Plans (PLPs). Still, the concept is a problematic one because in many areas the Aboriginal communities are not allowed to find their existence in to the mainstream. They face racism and are marginalized. Creation of Aboriginal Perspectives is the only solution here. A strategy to teach and learn about aboriginal community and teach both the aboriginals and non-aboriginals According to Habibis et al (2016), there exists eight effective Aboriginal ways of learning the Aboriginal history and culture through incorporating the Aboriginal Perspectives into the teaching methods and not into the content. Habibis et al (2016) described that through the pedagogical framework teachers use aboriginal learning techniques and thus inclusion of Aboriginal Perspectives is made. According to Habibis et al (2016), the eight ways of Aboriginal learning method includes the following: Story Sharing: This learning method involves sharing of knowledge through narratives and stories based on the Aboriginal cultures. Learning Maps: It includes the Aboriginal Intellectual Process, which is visually represented through metaphors. These metaphors are based on Aboriginal cultures and history. Non-verbal: Kinesthetic and Intra-personal skills are applied to teach the students how to think and learn. In this method, the body language is considered one of the useful ways of communication. Symbols and Images: The contents of the subject and the specific concepts are demonstrated using the symbols and images in this method. It is found that sybbols and images can express the culture and its various aspects better than any other medium. Land Links: The benefit of this method is quite similar to using the symbols and images in the method of teaching. Non-Linear: It includes combining of systems for developing the lateral thinking among the students. Through this method, they become able to differentiate between other perspectives and different cultures. Deconstruct-Reconstruct: this method involves transformation of focus from the whole to the part. The process is to segregate and then reunite various aspects. Community Links: It enables learning from the people belonging to the same community. According to Fredericks et al (2015), among the above-mentioned strategies, Link Land is considered one of the most effective ways to educate the Aboriginal children about their cultural identity. Linking Land ensures that the students get the proper idea about the place where they belong. They suggest that this method uses symbols and images for a clear picture of the land on the students mind. There is a particular story about how the Kangaroos got the tails. The story is considered a dreamtime story for the Aboriginal children. In the story, the two Kangaroos used to live in two different places. One Kangaroo was from the land and he was small in size with short kegs and short arms. The other Kangaroo was a inhabitant of the plains and he had long arms and long legs in his big body. According to Fredericks et al (2015), after the students are told this story, the teachers can involve them in drawing activities. Here, the students will be asked to draw the landscape in which the Ka ngaroos were placed. For an elaborated in-depth study, the teachers can show them some plants and picture of the animals, which inhabit at that land. They pointed out that through this, the students will be able to link the land with their identity. They will develop a sense of belongingness to the place where they have taken birth and will relate to the natural resources that are categorically parts of their country. As they discussed, another advantage of Land Linking strategy is that it includes both Story Sharing and Symbols and Images strategies. The children enjoy learning things from pictures and symbols. This is easier than learning through reading and writing. Again, the teachers can practically make the students aware of the landscapes mentioned in the story by taking them outside the classroom and showing them the landscapes. Such a practical approach of teaching develops in them a clear understanding about their country and its culture at a very early age. Aboriginal Community According to Shipp (2013), Koori is one of the oldest living Aboriginal communities of Australia belonging to the South Coast of the New South Wales. Koori people are called by some as Brinja-Yuin which is their clan name, and some call them by the language group in which they belong. It is Dhurga. OShannessy Meakins (2016) pointed out that many Koori people are from Victoria too. Maher (2013) mentioned that they prefer to consider them a Koori because it is their inherent identity. They are proud of their heritage and culture. Bat et al (2014) found that the word Koori has originated from gurri. It is an Awabakal language. However, the Koori people have a very strong sense of belongingness to a place. According to Watkins et al (2016), they identify their culture with the concept of place. Although they have faced dislocation from their places many times and this has made them more insecure to maintain their identity as an Australian community. Kerwin Van Issum (2013) discussed th at they cling to their strong sense of identity through establishment of cultural centers and various cultural camps across the states. They carry out various activities such as sport events. However, it is found by Barton Barton (2014) that, the historical facts about the Koori people do not bring out the real experiences of them. As a result, they have taken the responsibility to preserve their culture, history and identity through literature, music and movie in which they represent their own experiences and views. Kennedy (2013) discussed that the koori people have established Koori Radio. It is a community radio station that belongs to Gadigal Information Service. Koori Radio station is the only existing full time broadcasting radio station in Sydney. He added that they also have their newspaper named Koori mail. This is based in Lismore, New South Wales. Indigenous people in Australia gather in New South Wales during the occasion of Koory rugby League. Godinho et al (2014) poi nted out that it has been taking place since 1971 and this is one of the largest assemblies of the indigenous people in Australia. Koori people have a very strong sense of their belongingness to Australia. Accoridng to Willis (2014) they can work effectively as a community. For example- the establishment of community radio station, the indigenous newspaper and the sports and cultural events. The teaching environment should consider their perspective at first, which contains both the content and the process. Through the incorporation of Koori peoples planning and performance in maintaining the community radio into the syllabus of the curriculum, the teachers can send a message to all the students the importance of recognizing their own identities and make an effort to establish that identity. Community Links is the best process through which the essential information about the Koori people can be imparted among the children. Reflection I have discussed in detail how the indigenous education has gained importance with time in Australia. Now, I will share my viewpoints on the impact of these teaching methods in a professional practice. If I were to plan the indigenous teaching methods for the benefit of both the Aboriginals and non-aboriginals in Australia, I would have considered the Aboriginals Perspective at first. I have to keep in mind that the Aboriginals are not included into the mainstream culture of Australia; still they share their history with the mainstream Australians. In a multicultural country like Australia, the integrity among the various communities is the need of the time. I have learnt about the eight ways of teaching methods to be applied inside the classroom. For the children the Story Sharing, Link land, Symbols and Images are very useful techniques to impart education of the Aboriginal history and culture. They grasp the matter easily and develop the sense of identification. This is a part of the learning needs of the students. Inside the primary classroom, the activities such as drawing and painting encourage and influence the students to learn more effectively than reading and writing. Various interactive sessions between the students of different communities present in the classroom can develop in them a sense of community belongingness. They are able to communicate and share their viewpoints with one another. Such a practice at a very early age also develops in them mutual respect for the other people outside the community. I have learnt an important aspect of Aboriginal Perspective development, which is consultation. It is a process through which the needs and perspectives of the Aboriginal people are gained. It involves communication between them. Such a knowledge sharing is a two way process. I will go for consultation whenever I will feel the need of a people of a different identity. I will ask for his assistance for the purpose of education. This will develop re conciliation of both the cultures. Being a professional my focus would be to share knowledge at all levels of teaching. While studying about the Aboriginals I have found out the diverse culture of Australia. I have gained knowledge hoe the Koori people are making effort since a long time to establish their own identity. Their struggle for survival can be included into the teaching environment to make the other Aboriginals aware of the community efforts. References Barton, R., Barton, G. (2014). Owens Precision Machinery Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 6000 words

Owens Precision Machinery - Essay Example The company is a machine shop that has felt a recent surge of demand as the trend of insourcing has felt an increase after the recent recession. While the company is keeping up with the increasing demand, the company is also faces issues of dwindling cash reserves. In order to stay ahead of the competition, the company has to keep inventory in stock because of the longer lead time that suppliers require. For this, the company has to rely on outside investment which makes the President and owner consider whether he should sell off his company. The aim of this paper is to analyze the future move of the company. Owen has two options: he could either sell the company or ask his friend and investor for another loan. In order to decide which option to pursue, Owen would have to analyze his company as well as the industry in which he operates. He needs to find out if the issue of capital shortage can be corrected in the near future and what steps should he take in order to solve the problem . If he feels that the company has no future, then the best course of action would be to sell off the company. In order to recommend the best course of action for Owen Precision Machining, the first part studied business models that would help in analyzing the situation at hand. The models that have been used in the paper are: SWOT Analysis, Risk Reward Analysis, Just in Time Strategy, Vendor Managed Inventory, and Business Process Reengineering. SWOT helped in understanding the current standing of the company both internally as well as externally. The Risk Reward Analysis helped in evaluating the potential rewards in comparison with the risks for the options available for Christopher Owen. Since the company was facing the biggest hurdle in managing its inventory, two strategies that were discussed are Just in Time Strategy and Vendor Managed Inventory. Lastly Business Process Reengineering was used to help guide the organization on how to attain the required changes. SWOT Analysis of the company showed that the company is in a favorable position both internally as well as externally. However, the company has to work on its threats in order to bring the company into a more favorable position. The risk reward analysis revealed that the company is in the growing stages where the risks and rewards are both high. In this position, the company has to manage its operations in such a manner that it should be able to minimize the risk and thus entire the mature stage. Also the best option for OPM under the risk reward analysis is to retain the company but at the same time revise its operational strategy. The biggest issue that OPM is facing in this regard is managing its inventory so that cash is available for the company. For this, the analysis suggests using a combination of Just in Time Strategy and Vendor Managed Inventory. In order to bring about the necessary changes, the Business Process Reengineering model will be followed. Once the company was analyzed throug h the above mentioned models, a set of recommendations were developed for the company. It was recommended that Owen not sell the company but rather retain ownership of the company. The company should ask Benson for a bigger loan in order to implement VMI and JIT Strategy. Chapter One Owen’s Precision Machining is a small machine shop that operates with a total of 15 employees and under the leadership of the President and second generation owner, Christopher Owen. The company develops machine parts for robot prototypes and laboratory automation equipment. Before the economic crisis that hit the world in 2007, more and more companies were outsourcing their manufacturing to emerging countries around the world and chief among them was China. This trend of outsourcing had resulted in a decline

Shackled Women - Short Essay Essay Example for Free

Shackled Women Short Essay Essay In western cultures, women consider themselves equal to men while in some other parts of the world such as Africa and Asia, women are subjected to violence, sexual abuses, and exploitation by men that considered them as their legal or sexual property. Because tradition and religion play a crucial role in the life of the people of these regions, women are forced to live according to their culture in order for them to fit in the society. From murdered husbands in India, inhuman Islamic laws in Pakistan, to genital mutilation practice in Africa, these unjustifiable acts are virtually impossible to explain because they all go against the moral principles and values of a civilized society. When a parent deliberately killed his daughter without having remorse because of financial reasons, the first thing that comes into ordinary people’s mind is sorrow and grief. Because dowry is paid by the bride’s family in India, cruel and selfish husbands killed their second daughter in order to avoid paying a second expensive dowry. Dowry in India can account for more than 50% of a household income. (Journeyman Pictures LTD, January 2001). For that reason, fathers murdered their female child. Even if a second female child makes it trough childhood, she may still have a marriage on the rocks if her dowry is not enough to satisfy her in-laws. It is very shocking and disturbing to know that these fathers are still doing it without impunity. The most outrageous of all is that the government of India is aware of these killings and does not take drastic measures to stop it. Because it is culturally right in India to do so, women can not oppose it to the risk of being physic ally abuse by their husbands.

Validity: External, Internal, and Construct Essay -- Business Manageme

Validity In research paradigm, validity and reliability are the most basic characteristic issues used in qualitative and quantitative analysis. Validity as a psychometric standard is embedded in a positivist approach, which is relevant in reflecting on the qualitative point of view ascribed to the establishment of the truth. In view of this, definition of positivism ascribe to a theory systematic to validity. Additionally, other empirical conceptions culminating from resided validity include truth, deduction, universal laws, evidence, reason, and actuality among others. For any qualitative research conducted, validity as a concept is a determinant that measures the truth concerning the investigation. Validity is measured by researchers by asking questions and answers are retrieved from other people’s research work (Joppe, 2000, p. 1). Other researchers define validity in quantitative research as construct validity. Construct implies initial concept, hypothesis, notion or question determining data gathered and method of data collection. However, quantitative practitioners affirm the cause or effect interplay between data and construct for validation of investigation by applying test procedures or processes (Golafshani, 2003, p. 599). As a result, with regard to validity, researchers conclude that, it is whether measurements of the mean are accurate or they are measuring the intended features. Accuracy of the mean helps in relating the cause-and-effect relationship present in internal validity. The above definition is associated with quantitative research methodology. It summarizes that validity to be the extent in which instruments measure the exact thing it purports to measure. An example of validity in research is ... ...nformation provided during the course of study. In the case of project construction management, leaders need to be aware of the variables affecting internal and external validity to be able to convince the readers on aspects introduced and needing further research.
